DISGRIFIAD O'R PROJECT I YSGOLION A'R GYMUNED

Mae Ail-wneud/Ail-ddyfeisio yn arddangosfa lle mae grŵp o arlunwyr gwadd yn gweithio ar y fethodoleg o wneud celf newydd o hen gelf. Gofynnir i arlunwyr ymateb i'r syniad o weithio'n uniongyrchol o waith celf yn Amgueddfa Genedlaethol Cymru, Caerdydd. Dros gyfnod o flwyddyn gofynnir i'r rhai sy'n cymryd rhan wneud cyfres sylweddol o waith, gydag astudiaethau ategol, o un gwaith celf a geir yn y casgliad celf. Ystyrir y broses weithio a'r gwaith stiwdio yn rhan bwysig o'r project ac mae mor bwysig ag unrhyw 'ddarn terfynol'.

I'r 17 o arlunwyr sy'n cymryd rhan yn y project mae hwn yn gyfle gwerthfawr i hybu eu cynnydd drwy'r broses weithio. Bydd cymryd rhan yn meithrin hunanhyder yn y maes proffesiynol a chyhoeddus a chodi dyheadau a phroffil yr arlunwyr dan sylw. Byddant yn cyflawni hyn yn ystod y flwyddyn drwy gynhyrchu blogs unigol, gwefannau a thrafodaethau anffurfiol gyda myfyrwyr a grwpiau yn y gymuned. Mae'r gynulleidfa yr anelir ati'n cynnwys cymunedau agos at stiwdios yr arlunwyr (rhanbarthol); cynulleidfa celf weledol; diddordeb arbenigol, addysgwyr a dysgwyr ym mhob categori.

Bydd y project hefyd yn cynnwys arddangosfa 60 diwrnod yn yr oriel arddangos fawr yn Oriel Ynys Môn a lleoliad arall fel bo'r angen. Bydd y catalog dwyieithog yn cynnwys cofnod o'r broses weithio yn ystod y flwyddyn yn achos pob arlunydd gyda ffotograffau'n eu dangos wrth eu gwaith yn y stiwdio. Bydd hwn ar gael ar ffurf gyhoeddedig ac ar-lein. Er mwyn rhoi'r sylw mwyaf posib i'r project bydd blog y project, cyfryngau cymdeithasol yn cael eu defnyddio drwy gydol y cyfnod cynhyrchu a chyflwyno.

Yn ystod yr arddangosfa bydd o leiaf dair o sgyrsiau gan arlunwyr ac o leiaf dri gweithdy yn targedu ysgolion a grwpiau cymunedol yn benodol i ddatblygu cynulleidfaoedd newydd.

Mae Ail-wneud, Ail-ddyfeisio yn cyflwyno ffordd newydd o ymdrin â'r fethodoleg o wneud celfyddyd newydd o hen gelfyddyd. Bydd yn galluogi i nifer o ymarferwyr celf weledol yn y rhanbarth ymroi i'r gwaith arloesol hwn a bydd yn meithrin ymwneud rhwng arlunwyr y rhanbarth a chasgliad yr Amgueddfa.

RE-TAKE/RE-INVENT

PROJECT DESCRIPTION for SCHOOLS and COMMUNITY

Re-take, Re-invent is an invitation group exhibition working on the methodology of making new art from old. Artists are being asked to respond to the idea of working directly from artwork in the National Museum of Wales Cardiff. Participants are asked to make a substantial series of work with supporting studies from one artwork in the art collection over a period of one year. The working process and studio practice is emphasised as an important part of the project and is as important as any ‘final piece’.

For the 16 artists taking part in the project this is a valuable opportunity to promote their creative progress through the working process. Participation will nurture self-confidence and higher self-esteem within the professional and public domain, improve aspirations and foster a more comprehensive self-image as practitioners and this will be achieved during the year of production by individual blogs, websites and workshops with community students and groups on an individual and informal basis. The target audience includes communities local to artist’s studios (regional); visual art audience; specialist interest, educators and learners in all categories.

The project’s formal dissemination will include a 60 day exhibition at the large gallery space of Oriel Ynys Môn and other venues. The bilingual online catalogue will include a record of the working progress during the year of production for each artist with a commissioned photographic portrait in the studio setting. This will form the on line publication and web presence. To maximise dissemination, the project blog, website, fine art programme website, social media platforms will all be used throughout production and presentation.

At least three artists talks and at least three workshops during the exhibition will specifically target school and community groups to develop new audiences.

Re-take, Re-invent presents an innovative approach to the established methodology of making new art from old by providing an active and participatory exposure of the creative practice of many visual art practitioners in the region and will nurture regional engagement with the Museum’s collection.
